  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem

Saw the new Turtles movie last night and it was pretty great! At first I might have been little hesitant to the art style but quickly I was into it, I absolutely loved how colourful it was. Then the music started kicking in and. it all kinds of amazing! ★★★★☆

  • The Whale

As a huge fan of Darren Aronofsky I am glad to say Brenda Fraser complete overshadowed him in this movie. Since it’s a quite lowkey film in Aronofsky standard it could have easily fallen if the lead wasn’t so strong. ★★★★☆

  • Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

It was simple, like some enjoyable rides can be. It never felt like it had boring moments so the momentum was good. There was a hint of depth to Ant-man as a character but didn’t go deep enough. While the world was inventive, they didn’t fully get too inventive with the action or Ant-man’s powers. ★★★✭☆

  • A Man Called Otto

It struck such nice balance between being too light and too heavy. It did treat the bad moments with respect and with humour. As someone who was more like Otto but later became more like his neighbours, this movie both gave me hope and encouragement to be something positive in peoples lives. ★★★★☆

  • Knock at the Cabin

I was intrigued by the premise and was worried that I wouldn’t like it, but it was a well made as it could have been. I loved the story and its conclusion and what it says about our world. Sure the mystery could have been little more, well mysterious but overall didn’t hinder the enjoyment.…

  • The Asadas

I did not expect this movie to talk to me so directly. It’s about photography, it’s about family and it’s about how to deal with disaster. All things that I think a lot about and that mean so much to me. Even though the movie is a few years old, it only came out now…

  • TÁR

Give someone power and influence and they will abuse it. ★★★✭☆

  • Babylone

Interestingly a movie that could be seen to be about the death of the magic in cinema managed to for a moment take me to a magical place. ★★★★☆

  • Les Rascals

Incredibly powerful scenes and a strong message that is as true today as when the movie takes place. Or to put it more simple: NEVER. STOP. PUNCHING. NAZIS ★★★★☆

  • The Banshees of Inisherin

Are bored people dangerous? While absurd story, it still makes perfect sense about how crazy one could get in a too calm place with too boring friends. ★★★★☆

  • Movies of the Year 2022

    1. This is a weird movie for me, when watching it I loved it but afterwards I had this uneasy feeling, kind of like I regret the experience. Certainly first time I felt like that about a movie. 2. Talk about the biggest surprise of the year! Such an exciting and well crafted ride. On…

  • Glass Onion

I will use this movie to reaffirm my belief that no billionaire earns their money and only make it on the backs of others, and also that the rich are all shitheads. ★★★★☆

  • Puss in Boots: The Last Wish

Sure, the only reason I went to see it was because of the word of mouth, but I’m still surprised just how it felt “just right”. ★★★★☆

  • Avatar: The Way of Water

Beside the absolute technical marvel that it is, it could be little slow, well at least until the human killing started and then it was pretty sweet! ★★★✭☆

  • Bones and All

Who would have thought that one of my favorite movies this year would be a cannibale love story. I have a weakness for love stories that break the norm. I was fully into the movie and kind of had a good feeling while watching but it was after that there was a slight feeling of…
