Nouveau Retro 1.2

I'm trying out a name for the blog engine, calling it Nouveau Retro at the moment. Simply means New Retro in French.
Also there are lots of bug fixes done for this release. Added an initial setup process if people want to use the engine. I am in the process also to ready it to be put on GitHub available to everyone.

So I added some features to the blog.
- Video upload support
- Video embed support (YouTube)
- Caption support for both images and videos
- Backend fixes
- Visual fixes

Blog Engine

So I finally finished the first version of my blog engine! It's pretty simple thus far. But some features it has.
- A blog feed sorted by date.
- Ability to have pictures for posts and be able to view them.
- A section to show what one is playing, by either a scrolling text or a cover photo of the game.
- Ability to add pages and be able to add them to navigation.
- Admin section where one add posts and pages, ability edit both. Change settings for site, like title, header.
Many more features I want to add, while keeping the old school web feel. Ill keep you updated on progress!

Not only does Half-Life 2 have its 20th anniversary, but so does my Steam account! I did creat it on the launch day of Half-Life 2.
Paris Games Week 2024

Visited Paris Games Week this weekend and it was nice as always. Tried to play the new Pirate Yakuza but was little disappoiunted that the demo didnt have the ship battle available. Something I noticed with the event was the Sony didnt have much of a presence, they were only there with Astrobot, was expecting them to actually have own booth with the PS5 Pro. Xbox had much bigger presence and seemed to push Gamepass quite a bit, so that was nice to see. Overall the year felt little light.
Building Own Blog

I've been using wordpress and building my websites with it for a long time now. But with everything going on with them I felt that I don't feel like using them anymore. So it was a good time to start thinking about what I want out of my website. First I do want it to feel very human, as a contrast to all AI and bot stuff that is so big part of the internet now. I also wanted to do something with the Fediverse. So I will try and build my own blog engine that is clean, simple and somehow is part of the fediverse. Stay tuned for progress updates! My site as it is now is the first step.:)
